Description
The Kershaw Decimus 1559 was designed by Rick Hinderer and based on the Maximus. The black-oxide blackwash finished bayonet style blade measures 3.25 in. and has a plain cutting edge. The SpeedSafe Assisted Opening knife is great for everyday carry and features an 8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel blade.
Open the Decimus with a manual push on the thumb stud or pull back on the flipper. The stainless steel stonewash finished handle measures 4.25 in. and has a glass-filled nylon overlay. It has zigzag texturing inspired by the custom texture on the original Maximus and is designed for a secure grip and good looks.
Based on Rick Hinderer’s Maximus, the Kershaw Decimus offers a heroic look– and makes for a very distinctive EDC. Overall, when open, the length of the knife is 7.50 in., and it weighs approximately 4.50 oz. Made in China.
