Q: Why did I not get a full refund?
A: All Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. If your order is processed through Sezzle, a 6% restocking fee will be excluded from the refund amount.

Q: When does my order ship?
A: We pride ourselves on shipping your orders as fast as possible. All orders that come in during the week (Mon-Fri) before 3 pm CST will be shipped out that day. Unfortunately, we are off on weekends, so any orders processed after 3 pm on Friday will be shipped that following Monday. *Holidays Excluded*

Return Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within two weeks of delivery; items are subject to a 15% restocking fee. We’ll pay the return shipping costs if the return results from our error (you received an incorrect etc.).

We will inspect the knife, and if we find the item has been used, damaged, or carried, we will return the knife to the customer and will not process the refund.

  1. Return the item 100% unused, in new condition, with all original boxes, packaging, paperwork, and labels intact and not crumbled, crushed, written on, or otherwise damaged.
  2. Incur all costs associated with shipping back to us. We do not pay return shipping, and we suggest you ship back to us insured.
  3. Ship items back to us packaged as we sent them to you. If we send the item in a box, we require that it come back to us in a box to preserve the contents.
  4. Include a copy of the original receipt detailing the reason for the return.
    Do not put tape on boxes, write on them or damage them. The product will be rendered unsalable and returned to you if you do.
  5. If you received your item in error, we would pay to ship both ways and make it right with you.

You should expect to receive your refund within 14 business days of giving your package to the return shipper. This period includes the transit time for us to accept your return from the shipper (3 to 7 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (2 to 3 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (2 to 5 business days). However, in many cases, you will receive a refund more quickly.

For custom engraved products, all sales are final. No returns or refunds will be offered unless the text engraved is incorrect or misspelled. See our engraving page for more information.

For orders that are placed with Sezzle or Afterpay, whether you cancel or return the item, there will be a 6% restocking fee so that we can recoup the cost of using the payment service.

EXCHANGE POLICY

The House of Blades does accept exchanges within 30 days of purchase. The product must be unused with all of the original manufacturer’s packaging. A 15% Restocking fee may apply. For more information, please get in touch with us.

SHIPPING POLICY

We can ship to virtually any address in the United States. Note that there are restrictions on some products as some of our products cannot be shipped to State destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.  (Shipping cost are non-refundable)

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

WARRANTY

House of Blades cannot warranty items in-store, but we will help customers send their knives out for warranty. We charge a flat fee of $10 for shipping on most knives to send them back to the manufacturer, where they will look over the knife and decide whether they will be able to warranty it.

Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction. This website, www.houseofblades.com, (the “Website”) permits users like you to purchase products, in accordance with the terms of these Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”).

2. Legal Agreement.

(a) Please read this Agreement carefully. This Agreement is a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “your”) and House of Blades.

(b) The effective date of this Agreement (the “Effective Date”) is the date you first use the Website. By using the Website, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you choose to accept this Agreement, you must do so as written, without modification. If you do not agree to abide by the terms of this Agreement, please discontinue your use of the Website immediately. You agree that by using the Website, such use constitutes your acceptance of this Agreement and your agreement to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. You warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years old and that you have the legal authority to enter into this Agreement as an individual or on behalf of your employer.

(c) You agree that any purchase of Products from us, whether through the Website, our retail store, or otherwise, shall be governed by this Agreement.

3. Privacy Policy. Your access to the Website and purchase of the Products shall be governed by this Agreement and also by the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy also describes how House of Blades collects and uses information you post to the Website or provide to us. This Agreement and the Privacy Policy may be collectively referred to as the Agreement, and are intended to be read together.

4. Terms and Termination. The term of this Agreement shall begin on the Effective Date and continue until terminated as expressly provided in this Agreement (the “Term”). This Agreement and the Privacy Policy shall run concurrently and if either terminates, then the other shall automatically terminate. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by delivering an email to us at the address listed in the “contact us” section of the Website. House of Blades may immediately terminate this Agreement as required by law or due to your breach of any provision of this Agreement in HOB’s determination. Termination will become effective immediately. Upon termination, all rights granted by HOB to you under this Agreement, including your use of the Website, shall immediately terminate, and you will not be allowed to use the Website or purchase Products.

5. Updates to this Agreement. House of Blades RESERVES THE RIGHT TO AMEND THE WEBSITE AND THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT IN ITS DISCRETION FROM TIME TO TIME. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THE WEBSITE FOR CHANGES TO THIS AGREEMENT. House of Blades may, but is not obligated to, offer upgrades, updates, and improvements to the Website, and to add or discontinue any Products at any time.

6. Prohibited Uses.

(a) You may only use the Website and purchase Products for legal purposes (the “Purpose”).

(b) You shall not use the Website or Products: (i) to harass, intimidate, embarrass, or threaten any person, (ii) for any illegal, libelous, obscene, pornographic, or illegal purpose, or (iii) in a manner that violates any laws, rules, or regulations.

7. Orders. You must be at least 18 years old to order any knife Products and at least 21 years old to order restricted products. Restricted products are marked on the Website. Some items on the Website may be illegal in your or other areas for possession by those under the age of 21. You shall be responsible to check all applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning the purchase, ownership, use, and possession of any Products sold to you on the Website.

8. Automatic Knife Laws & Assisted Knife Laws. The Switchblade Act, (Pub.L. 85-623, 72 Stat. 562, enacted on August 12, 1958, and codified in 15 U.S.C. § 1241–1245), as may be amended, (the “Act”) prohibits shipment of automatic knives across state lines, with the following exceptions:

(a) to civilian or Armed Forces supply or procurement officers and employees of the Federal Government ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of the Federal Government;

(b) to supply or procurement officers of the National Guard, the Air National guard, or militia of a state, territory or the District of Columbia ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in the connection with the activities of such organization;

(c) to supply or procurement officers or employees of the municipal government of the District of Columbia or the government of any State or Territory, or any county, city or other political subdivision of a State or Territory;

(d) to manufacturers of such knives or bona fide dealers therein in connection with any shipment made pursuant of an order from any person designated in paragraphs (a), (b), and (c).

1) Data you provide to us

When you create an account, signup for our newsletter, signup for an in-stock notification, or submit info to us using social media or a 3rd party app you are asked to provide personal information that uniquely identifies you.

You don’t have to provide any information that directly identifies you to browse our website. However, we will ask you to provide certain personal information as necessary to provide you with requested products and services, complete the relevant transaction, or, if you wish, use special features or functions of our website. We will share this personal information with companies we partner with to better enhance your experience on our site, including but not limited to payment processing, our own email marketing campaigns, fraud prevention services, etc.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed green lock icon in the address bar, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Orders

We request information from you on our order form. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.

Credit Save Feature

No credit card info is saved on our site, instead, our credit card processor creates a profile/token for your info, which is encrypted and stored on their servers, and the only info that passes to us the token. HouseofBlades.com does not save or have access to your credit card info. We offer this option to give you the convenience of not having to re-enter your personal data every time you shop from us.
