Description
The Chasm was originally designed as a small footprint pocketknife with the ability to tackle heavy tasks, and now has been updated with substantial improvements to the design. The most notable upgrade to the new Chasm XLT is the overall thickness of the blade, it has almost doubled to a whopping 0.2″ thick! This allows for much more mass in the steel at the tip giving it improved strength. Next, the Chasm XLT now features a billet titanium milled clip, which offers substantially more strength than the previous bent clips. Additionally, a lock bar overtravel screw has been added to prevent stress that could ultimately lead to lockup failures. The new Chasm XLT also offers an innovative thumb stud design with a smooth tapered finish and an improved lockup action on the knife. Toor have also provided a G10 backspacer with a lanyard hole to add to the overall rigidity of the frame, and the top of the G10 backspacer is machined with jimping notches for extra grip in the palm. Every Chasm XLT features a Black Oxide blade finish on CPM 154 steel and textured G10 show-side scale, offered in either Stealth or Carbon.
