The original Smallfly put a unique twist on the traditional balisong, or Filipino butterfly knife. Now, this standout design returns with a fresh update: a full-flat-ground, drop-point blade made from premium CPM S30V steel. Like its predecessor, the new Smallfly features skeletonized dual handles with full stainless steel liners and peel-ply-textured scales for a secure grip. Signature round holes at the ends of both handles showcase Spyderco’s iconic styling and enhance balance for fast, fluid manipulation. A spring-loaded latch on the free handle locks the knife closed, while a removable wire pocket clip can be mounted on either side of both handles, offering versatile carry and improved tactile indexing.
