Building on the proven formula of VG-10, CPM SPY27 enhances it with cobalt, niobium, nitrogen, and increased amounts of carbon, molybdenum, and vanadium. The result is a steel that offers outstanding edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening.
Maximizing these qualities, the knife boasts a satin-finished, full-flat-ground PlainEdge blade, paired with a lightweight, fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle. Molded in a striking cobalt blue—one of the signature colors of the SPY27 series—the handle also features Spyderco’s Bi-Directional Texture pattern for a secure, non-slip grip. Despite its size, the Manbug is a serious cutting tool engineered for everyday performance.
