The HORL3 Premium Set is an accessory kit designed to expand the sharpening capability of the HORL3 and HORL3 Pro systems by focusing on advanced edge refinement and finishing rather than initial sharpening. It includes a fine whetstone disc and an extra-fine whetstone disc, both made from corundum, which are used after the standard diamond and ceramic discs to further smooth and polish the cutting edge. The progression allows for a noticeably finer, lower-resistance edge as each stage reduces scratch pattern depth and improves edge uniformity. The set is completed with a vegetable-tanned leather strop, used as the final step to remove any remaining burr and produce a clean, polished edge. Unlike the base HORL systems—which focus on shaping and sharpening—this kit is specifically aimed at achieving a higher level of sharpness and edge refinement, making it most relevant for users working with higher-end steels or those seeking near mirror-finish edges. It is not compatible with the HORL3 Cruise or older HORL2 systems, and functions strictly as an upgrade layer rather than a standalone sharpening solution.
